Necropolis

The Necropolis is where the Baku-verse keeps its dead — a realm of decay and quiet spirits caught between the living world and whatever comes after. Every character who dies lingers here for a time before passing on, drifting past crypts and half-lit temples where the departed still pray for passage. Donn, lord of the shadowed halls at its edge, and the lich Nagash both hold sway over corners of it, and the air itself feels heavier for their presence.

It is not without its living residents. The necromancer Oxivius Soulforge keeps a converted mausoleum here as home — a small, stubborn pocket of comfort inside the realm of the dead, and proof that even the Necropolis can be someone’s sanctuary, if you’re willing to make one.
