Ivar remembers the cold grey of Dun Balor, the mountain prison where the Fae Council exiled his people. His kin spent generations sharpening axes and nursing the grudge. Ivar spent his youth listening to the stone and the wind, and the softness in his eyes unnerved the Fomorian warriors around him.
When the Mist fell and the Grand Secret shattered, the Fomorians surged back into the Earth Realm. Most of them wanted to rule it. Ivar wanted to belong to it. He wandered into the Freelands and nearly died to a Humanity Now patrol that saw only a monster.
What saved him was a vision. A great spirit bear stood between him and the guns and led him to a hidden sanctuary. He took the Shaman’s path there. He is fighting on two fronts now — against the things coming through, and against everyone who expects a brute.
